Why is this important?

SPF records have a maximum limit of 10 DNS lookups per record. A lookup occurs when your SPF record uses include: or redirect= mechanisms, requiring DNS servers to fetch additional SPF records from other domains.

Some email servers will reject emails if the SPF record requires more than 10 lookups.

This limit exists because too many lookups can slow down email delivery and each lookup increases the chance of temporary DNS failures.
